During this visit, our expert doctors can conduct a hands-on examination of the scalp, perform diagnostic tests if needed, and have a face-to-face conversation with the patient to gather information about their medical history and specific hair loss issues. This traditional approach allows for a more comprehensive assessment and direct interaction between the patient and the healthcare provider.
New patient hair loss visit (Virtual): A virtual hair loss visit allows you to speak with our expert hair loss physician online instead of going to the office. You can discuss your hair concerns, send pictures of your scalp, and get advice on what might be causing your hair loss. It's a convenient way to connect with the doctor from wherever you are. You will still receive the same care as you would coming into the office, if no procedures are needed to be performed at the time of your visit.
Follow up visits (In office): A follow-up, in-person hair loss visit involves returning to the Doctor Edges office for a subsequent appointment after an initial consultation or treatment. During this follow-up, our expert hair loss physicians assess the progress of the patient's hair loss condition, discuss any changes or improvements, and may adjust the treatment plan if necessary. It provides an opportunity for ongoing monitoring, addressing new concerns, and ensuring that the chosen treatment is effective. Follow-up visits are essential for tracking the success of interventions and maintaining open communication between the patient and the healthcare provider.
Follow Up Visits (Virtual): A virtual follow-up hair loss visit is a remote appointment with our expert physicians that takes place online. This follow-up allows individuals to share their photos and discuss the progress of their hair loss treatment or address any new concerns without having to visit our office in person. During the virtual follow-up, our highly skilled doctors can evaluate changes in the patient's hair condition, discuss treatment outcomes, and make any necessary adjustments to the ongoing care plan.
