At Doctor Edges Hair Restoration & Dermatology Aesthetics, we use the Direct Care Dermatology model to make dermatology the way it used to be, with a focus on the physician-patient relationship. We work for our patients, not the insurance company. This fee for service model allows us to offer pediatric and adult hair restoration, general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology services. This model achieves better patient experiences, outcomes, and increased quality of care. We pride ourselves in providing quality patient experiences, excellence, and access with our direct care dermatology model. We also offer convenient online booking.

 

Our Direct Pay Dermatology model allows our patients to avoid feeling like they are a part of a patient mill with decreased quality of care, as some of you may have experienced with the increase in private equity driving down medicine unfortunately.

What is Direct Care Dermatology

The Direct Care Dermatology model offers patients personalized dermatological care, more relaxed visits, transparent pricing, and most patients pay less for their dermatological care compared to the traditional healthcare model.

 

With Direct Care Dermatology, there are no copays, no billing of insurance, and no prior authorizations required. The pricing structure is transparent and listed online. Direct Care Dermatology practices are considered out of network allowing patients the freedom to choose their physician.

 

Please familiarize yourself with our scheduling and financial policy before booking:

• We are NOT in contract with any commercial health insurance. We bill patients with commercial health insurance and self-pay patients through our direct pay preferred pricing rates. All pricing is listed online on our booking page.

• If you choose to submit a claim to your insurance company by yourself, you may do so. Some of our patients find using Reimbursify: http://www.reimbursify.com/individual-page/ convenient for claim submission if desired.

• Patients may still use HSA and FSA payments for non-cosmetic services, and care credit for all services.

• Lab and pathology fees are not included in your Direct Care Dermatology fees. This will be billed separately by CPL Lab or Cockerell Dermatopathology. You may use your insurance for these services or choose to use our special negotiated discounted contracted rates that we received for our patients.

• If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so with a 24-hour notice to avoid a $100 no-show or late cancellation fee.
